Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Hospital Patrol in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for all. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and caring. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license and compliance with Allied Universal's driver policy.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general inquiries to promote a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to support security-related needs and contribute to a secure environment for all occupants.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Vaccines are required for work in hospital settings.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
