IT Support Specialist (Secret Clearance Required) Location: Port Hueneme, CA Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required Certification: CompTIA Security+ Experience: 1-2 years of Desktop Support About the Role Join a dynamic team supporting mission-critical IT operations! Shift Details Our team operates between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, giving you flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within that window. Key Responsibilities * Install, configure, service, repair, and maintain IT systems in both stand-alone and client-server environments, including MS Server and Defense Message Systems. * Support hardware and software for network services, storage networking devices, and servers. * Troubleshoot and resolve customer IT issues, perform hardware upgrades, and maintain mission capability. * Configure and optimize wireless hubs, routers, switches, and transmission media. * Ensure proper installation and configuration of workstation hardware/software for efficient network operation. * Install, optimize, and troubleshoot Local Area and Base Area Networks. * Work with advanced networking protocols such as IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT. Required Skills * Help Desk and Desktop Support experience * Active Directory administration * Hardware troubleshooting * Windows 7 and newer OS environments * Ticketing systems proficiency * Secret Clearance and CompTIA Security+ certification Preferred Experience * Familiarity with advanced networking concepts and protocols * Strong problem-solving and customer service skills Why Join Us? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Port Hueneme, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.85 - $38.94/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
