Job Overview:

RWJ Barnabas Health is looking for an Administrative Director, Pharmacy at our New Brunswick, NJ location. The Administrative Director provides leadership and assists the Chief Medical Officer in regard to effectively fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Pharmacy and Infection Prevention Departments.

This role would involve developing, directing, and executing strategies to ensure top-tier clinical outcomes and a culture of continuous performance improvement across the facility and in addition provide direct oversight to directors in the departments under their supervision and establishes annual goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Pharm, D required from an accredited college of pharmacy and/or college or RN, College Degree with Major in Nursing
  • A minimum of 15 years of pharmacy, nursing or clinical experience with a minimum of 10 years with managerial/supervisory responsibilities in clinical areas

Essential Functions:

  • Effectively works with senior leaders across the hospital in strategic initiatives, including Chief Quality Officer, VP of Quality and Assistant Chief Medical Officer,
  • Directs operational expenses in the departments,
  • Serves as point person for University Hospital to represent pharmacy and infection prevention in any system wide initiatives,
  • Ensure that Pharmacy and Infection Prevention are compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations,
