Your Assignment at a Glance

  • Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business and technical requirements.
  • Develop relational, dimensional, and enterprise data models supporting analytics, reporting, and operational systems.
  • Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and business teams to translate complex requirements into scalable data structures.
  • Utilize industry-standard data modeling tools (e.g., DcSchema Erwin, ER/Studio) for model creation and documentation.
  • Ensure modeling standards, metadata management, and governance practices are consistently applied.
  • Provide strategic input to data architecture and modernization initiatives across cloud environments.
  • Integrate data models into ETL/ELT pipelines, collaborating with data engineering teams to ensure accuracy and performance.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to validate data structures, test model performance, and support analytics use cases.
  • Work with cloud data platforms such as Databricks and AWS to implement and manage data models.
  • 6 Month Contract

What We Need From You

  • 10+ years of experience in data modeling and data architecture roles within complex enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in relational and dimensional modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency with one or more data modeling tools (e.g., DbSchema, Erwin, ER/Studio).
  • Strong SQL skills, including query design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and integrating models into data pipelines.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data ecosystems such as Databricks and AWS.
  • Solid grasp of data management principles, normalization, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse or data lake architectures.
  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and modeling standards.

Physical and Environmental Requirements
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by a Contractor to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the Contractor is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The Contractor is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The Contractor must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
