Salaried exempt:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $55,000- $65,000.

The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Cape Fox Shared Services (CFSS) is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team. The Junior Accountant will assist in accurately recording of the day-to-day financial transactions. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with various operational finance tasks in relation to accounts payable, expense reporting, accounts receivable, payroll, timesheets, journal entries, account analysis, and financial reporting.This position will work with expense reports and accounts payable reviews, maintain balance sheet schedules and subsidiary ledgers, as well as assist with various special projects as needed and directed.



  • Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policy, federal regulations, and contract requirements.
  • Verify receipts, supporting documentation, charge codes, and approvals.
  • Ensure expenses are properly allocated to the correct projects, departments, and accounts.
  • Monitor the timely submission of expense reports and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to expense reporting guidelines and system use.
  • Scan AP invoices, check deposits, and other documents as needed
  • Assist with Accounts Payable invoice coding as needed
  • Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries
  • Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check and credit card transactions, and tally and file invoices.
  • May perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
  • Reconcile, adjust, and maintain balance sheet accounts such as prepaid expense, fixed asset depreciation, inventory, and intercompany.
  • Assist with payroll administration, and timesheets
  • Process bank deposits and take deposits to the bank
  • Update financial records via accounting software
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and work closely with Controller or other managers to support the completion of a timely audit
  • Assist with updating the accounting system in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist with monthly and yearly closing of the books.
  • Perform many duties using computers and other devices.
