DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will serve as the key timekeeper for Westmoreland County, responsible for monitoring employee work hours, absences, and overtime while resolving any discrepancies that may occur. Your duties will also include generating leave balance reports, ensuring that all employee e-Payrolls are saved in a completed status, and that equipment payrolls are maintained with supervisor approval in line with record retention guidelines. You will verify that all leave requests are accurately documented and review payroll outputs to confirm that employee payments comply with established pay rules, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you will inform employees of any payroll errors, detailing the nature of the issue, the steps required for resolution, and the potential impacts. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
