DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Regional Traffic Management Center Operator, you will utilize Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and advanced incident management techniques to maintain the flow of traffic, minimize delays, and provide life-saving information to travelers. You will be responsible for maintaining constant vigilance while monitoring a diverse range of cutting-edge tools such as CCTV video feeds, 911 CAD WebView's, P25 radio communications, police and fire scanners, and incident detector devices. When incidents occur, you will promptly assess the situation to determine the area of influence and make independent, critical decisions regarding appropriate incident management. Within this crucial role, you will also be tasked with activating AMBER Alerts and MEPA Alerts as directed by the state police, in addition to notifying necessary maintenance personnel of highway incidents or weather conditions that may present an imminent danger to the public. - Full-time employment, 75 hours bi-weekly
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work hours are irregular and may be required to work varied shifts due to 24/7 operation.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $45,907.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience evaluating and coordinating information related to traffic data, incidents or conditions.
Other Requirements:
