WHAT WE DO
Norris' Group Care Programs include a Residential Unit for boys, a Residential Unit for girls, and a Shelter Unit, all providing treatment, educational, and therapeutic recreational services to youth ages 12 through 17 and their families. Youth receive services related to mental health emotional behavioral disorders, problematic sexualized behaviors, AODA, and trauma, including physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Norris is currently seeking a Case Manager/Admissions Specialist! This clinical team member coordinates referral, screening, and admissions activities for Norris programs. The Group Care Case Manager serves as the primary liaison between referral sources, placing agencies, youth, families, clinicians and program leadership to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient admissions processes. Responsibilities include managing referrals, assessing program fit, coordinating pre admissions activities, facilitating
communication among stakeholders, maintaining required documentation, and supporting successful transitions into care. This person will also help work in-ratio with the youth as needed by the Program. Through collaboration, professionalism, and a commitment to Norris values of Belonging, Connection, Integrity, Communication, and Safety, the Group Care Case Manager promotes positive admissions experience and supports the delivery of high quality services to youth and families.

The hours from this position are approximately 10am-6pm, most days.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Coordinates all pre admission activities and supports a smooth transition into services.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for referral sources, placing agencies, and families throughout the referral and admissions process.
  • Maintains positive relationships with referral sources and community partners.
  • Responds to referrals within required timeframes.
  • Communicates referral information accurately to program leaders, clinicians and team members.
  • Coordinated face to face meetings and assessments with potential youth and families.
  • Ensures all required referral information, releases, consents, and supporting documentation are received and reviewed.
  • Creates a warm and supportive atmosphere for youth and families during the admission process.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in social or behavioral science field required.
  • At least one year of experience working with youth involved with the child welfare and/or juvenile justice systems is preferred.
  • Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize varied job functions and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively through verbal, non-verbal and written communications.
  • A valid Wisconsin driver license is required. Certain driving infractions could make you ineligible.
  • Strong networking skills required.
