Job Description




As a Security Officer - Highrise Roving Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with tenants and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activities, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues within the location.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and monitoring entrances and exits.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including evacuations or medical situations, in accordance with established protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and visitors to address inquiries and provide assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Guard card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
