FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day , Schedule: M-F 8am-4pm Position Summary The Software Engineer I is an exciting entry-level technical position, providing installation, maintenance, and modification of software in support of MultiCare's websites and software development efforts. From application development and performing hands-on coding to developing documentation, this role will offer you dynamic day-to-day work functions. Responsibilities You will collaborate to ensure seamless system integration across all applications, systems, platforms, and infrastructure withinthe global computing environment You will troubleshoot and resolve system problems You will apply object-oriented programming in C++/Java languages, software development, maintenance and deployment You will see to programming, installing, administering and maintaining Application Server software in UNIX and Windows NT environments You will document development efforts using technical documentation techniques including database design, application design and ongoing documentation of changes and modifications You will use Software Quality Assurance (SQA) practices including constructing automated test sequences, unit, iterative, system, user-acceptance and integration testing procedures, error analysis and resolution processes Requirements Associates degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field business, healthcare, or Information Technology Additional specific recent Information Technology or healthcare experience may be substituted year for year for education Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state Why MultiCare? As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $77,314.00 - $106,766.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
