Join our fast-paced cardiology team at Mercy South as a Medical Assistant (MA)! In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting physicians and clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include assisting with patient exams, preparing rooms and equipment, performing basic clinical tasks, and ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the clinic. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment while maintaining compassionate care.
Position Details:
Medical Assistant - Mercy South Cardiology Clinic Full Time, 40 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday Qualifications Education:High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Experience:1 year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by clinic Primary Responsibilities: * Room patients, vital signs Assists with procedures, EKG * Instrument maintenance and prep * Stock exam rooms * Documentation, scanning * Point of care testing * Basic in basket and refills * Communicate with physician or APP * Follow protected information policy, follow OSHA standards * Adopt PPE and Quality/Safety Policies * Medication reconciliation, injection administration * Schedule appointments, medical record releases * Diagnostic and ancillary order entry Why Mercy?From day one, Mercy offers outstanding benefits - including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, tuition support, and matched retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.
