Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, and friends of the Texas Tech University System to secure leadership annual and major gifts. Responsible for the successful accomplishment of annual advancement goals; and adherence to the prospect management system. Major/Essential Functions


  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, and friends of the Texas Tech University System to secure planned gifts and major gifts.
  • Constructive management of donor portfolios, utilizing tools and prospect management cycle.
  • Build constructive and effective relationships to become a reliable resource for fundraising initiatives, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with philanthropic partners and colleagues across the System.
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly through all communication vehicles.
  • Live and promote the values of the Texas Tech University System: People First, Resilience, Integrity, Community, and Exemplary Service

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills; excellent time management and multi-tasking skills; knowledge of all aspects of fundraising, including annual giving, planned giving, campaign management, and strategic planning or the proven ability to become highly proficient in these areas; demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus one year related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience equal to five years.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
