About the Department	The School of Music is part of the College of the Arts, which also includes the Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design, the School of Film, Media & Theatre, the Rialto Center for the Arts, and the Center for Educational Partnerships in Music. In addition to offering some of the university's most popular majors, the college connects faculty and students with Atlanta's thriving arts scene and booming film and music industries.
Position Description	Responsibilities will include: Teaching courses in choral music (including choral ensembles, choral literature, private choral conducting lessons, basic conducting, choral music education, and related areas) as assigned. Service, including participation in university and/or departmental committees, supervising student chapter of GA-ACDA, activity in professional organizations, recruitment, and educational or creative activities that contribute to an active portfolio as a choral conductor and music educator
Required Experience	Minimum 3 years teaching experience in higher education preferred; graduate assistant teaching may be considered Demonstrated excellence and experience in choral conducting high school, collegiate, and/or professional choral ensembles preferred
Required Education	Master's degree in choral conducting required. Doctoral degree in choral conducting preferred.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience	Minimum 3 years teaching experience in public school choral music preferred A record of successful recruitment of choral/vocal students preferred
