Mission Engineer SME

• Mission Analysis & Design: Develop operational concepts (CONOPS), support flight trajectory analysis, and assess SBI deployments within a complex missile defense architecture.
• Systems Integration: Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate SBI capabilities into the overall MDS system, delivering mission planning solutions that align with customer goals and performance requirements.
• Requirements Development: Define, manage, and validate technical and operational requirements for the SBI system, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and program timelines.
• Modeling and Simulation: Employ advanced modeling tools and simulation frameworks to assess interceptor performance, satellite trajectories, engagement effectiveness, and risk factors.
• Technical Collaboration: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to communicate mission engineering strategies with stakeholders, including government agencies, subcontractors, and internal leadership.
• Risk Assessment: Analyze potential performance, operational, and integration risks, delivering actionable insights along with mitigation solutions.

• Bachelor's with 15+ years' related experience in mission engineering, systems integration, or related roles, within DoD programs.
• Proficiency in analyzing space-based systems, missile defense technologies, and engagement scenarios.
• Familiarity with systems engineering processes (e.g., MBSE, requirements development, interface design).
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, STK (Systems Tool Kit), or similar.

• Must have an Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
• 5 years' prior experience for access to Special Access Program Information (SAP), or Controlled Access Program (CAP); must have 1 year in the last 5 years.
