As an Operations Coordinator for the Transfer Center, you will play a vital role in facilitating and coordinating patient movement within our healthcare system and beyond. Job Summary: The Operations Coordinator at Duke University Hospital plays a pivotal role in optimizing patient flow and enhancing operational efficiency within the healthcare system. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong clinical knowledge and exceptional organizational skills. The Operations Coordinator collaborates with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, case managers, and support services, to streamline the discharge process, expedite physician order execution, and coordinate the timely transfer of patients. They play a key role in facilitating communication, resolving barriers, and ensuring the seamless transition of care. The Operations Coordinator actively identifies opportunities for process improvement, implements best practices, and maintains a patient-centered approach to enhance the overall patient experience. By leveraging their clinical expertise and effective coordination skills, the Operations Coordinator contributes to optimizing resource utilization, reducing length of stay, and promoting efficient and effective healthcare delivery at Duke University Hospital.
