As a Security Officer - Logistics Entry Monitor in Middletown, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for people and assets. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Carry out screening procedures for individuals entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location, following site-specific policies and protocols.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or contractors with inquiries related to access and security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Document and report any irregularities, suspicious activities, or security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed and in accordance with site guidelines.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items through thorough screening and observation.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to maintain a secure environment at the logistics and distribution location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
