Description
Develop and lead activities for the activity focus area that are creative, dynamic, fun and safe for campers of all ages and abilities. Facilitates the upkeep of assigned activity area, ensuring that all areas are safe and well maintained. Develop and write lesson plans with clear goals that are clearly tied to the activity focus area and are intentional in purpose.. Works closely with staff to adapt activities so each participant is able to participate. Works with the Camp Director and Head Counselor to develop new activities and programs that are inclusive and therapeutic for participants of all abilities. Assist the Camp Director and Head Counselor and other staff in the coordination and facilitation of evening programs, theme days, and special events. Lives with assigned cabin group and staff in a respectful manner, participating in building a positive and safe camp living environment. The candidate for this position must be willing to work with children of all ages and abilities, have good communication skills, be a team player, able to problem solve, and work in a fast paced environment. This seasonal, summer job takes place during the summer months outdoors, where there is potential exposure to excessive heat and humidity, and other environmental influences such as insects, etc. Behaviors
