SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the President, the Project Coordinator provides professional level of support in a variety of activities to support the hospital. This may include managing various projects related to the hospital. This will include but not be limited to scheduling, coordination and implementation of programs or services, developing and maintaining key performance indicators to include finance, quality, patient experience and productivity. The position will assume leadership roles for activities to ensure the successful completion of projects. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Brown University Health employees are expected to successfully role model the organization's values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence as these guide our everyday actions with patients, customers and one another. Reviews project proposal and deliverables with President. Gathers all project related information: schedules, data requests, assignments, tasks, and project meetings. Develop detail project plan to meet the targeted deadline and financial pro-forma. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project completion. Keep lines of communication open with stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks, proper communication of issues, and proper documentation of the entire process. Monitor the project plan and recommend modifications as necessary. Meet regularly with project team to be sure all action items are on track to meet the deadline. Process daily, weekly and monthly reporting to ensure all schedules run smoothly, all tasks are completed as prescribed Develops and review project status and reports with leadership. Develop and maintain division key performance indicators. Work with internal and external departments as necessary to get the information required for reporting. Coordinate division events to support outreach activities in the patient and physician community for business development. Provides administrative and office management support to the office of the President Serves as a liaison between President and staff, supporting the Hospital as needed, such as coordinating their needs with human resources, purchasing, accounting, payroll, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business management or similar. EXPERIENCE: Two to three years' experience with project coordination. Experience in an academic medical center preferred Strong written and oral communication skills Demonstrate excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to influence and elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including many departments within Brown University Health Demonstrates advanced competence with various software programs, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with project management software a plus Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential Creative thinker with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively. Possess excellent interpersonal skills and has the ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion and to work effectively and collaboratively. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities Exhibits flexibility during times of change Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.
