Overview

This is a full-time career opportunity that can be remote within the Fulton Bank footprint as follows: DC, DE, MD, NJ, PA, VA. Must have the ability to travel to our East Petersburg, PA location on a quarterly basis.

Performs an independent pre-closing review of flood information for commercial and retail loans secured by real estate to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Performs and independent pre-closing compliance review. Serves as a resource by assisting all affiliate bank staff with the risk management of flood and other concerns to ensure protection of the bank's interests. Recommends established course of action to achieve compliance for unacceptable reports and/or loan file information. Assist in the administration and coordination of the corporate flood risk management for Fulton Financial Corporation, its subsidiaries and bank affiliates to ensure compliance with corporate policy and regulatory requirements.



Responsibilities

    Performs an independent pre-closing review of flood related information for commercial and retail loans secured by real estate to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by verifying flood notices to borrower are provided prior to closing and have been properly executed and dated in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Responsible for verifying the accuracy of the account officers' completion of the flood worksheet, including the identification of existing liens and all structures to be insured. Responsible for verifying flood insurance coverage on real estate and contents in accordance with regulatory and SBA guidelines. Refers to established guidelines when advising appropriate staff members of potential flood risk. Consulting with manager on complex issues and escalates cases when necessary.
  • Performs an independent pre-closing compliance review by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements by reviewing of bank systems and reports prior to loan closing to ensure Commercial Lending staff follow customer due diligence account opening procedures. Reviews bank systems to ensure customer due diligence questions are answered and data properly submitted. Researchs and comparing findings with other available resources. Contacts lending staff as required to verify the accuracy of information submitted. Provides data for management reports. Consulting with manager on complex issues and escalates cases when necessary.
  • Serves as a resource by assisting all affiliate bank staff relative to the risk management of flood to ensure protection of the bank's interests in real estate by analyzing all flood related information for properties in a flood zone to identify potential risk of the loan's collateral value and recommends established course of action to achieve compliance when reviewing unacceptable information. Researchs any discrepancy that surfaces between the flood vendor's system results and the property owner's information. Works with insurance carrier as needed to confirm flood insurance coverage. Refers to established guidelines in making recommendations to appropriate staff members when potential flood compliance issues surface that could impact our organization. Responds to account officer and other corporate staff inquires regarding flood and regulations. Responds to inquires from account officer and other corporate staff involving corporate policy and program administration procedure questions.
  • Assist in the administration and coordination of the corporate flood and risk management programs for Fulton Financial Corporation, its subsidiaries and bank affiliates to ensure compliance with corporate policy and regulatory requirements by assisting department management with internal database and tracking methods used in the preparation of portfolio risk management reports. Monitors and tracks properties identified as being in a flood zone. Verifys ongoing flood insurance coverage is adequate; ensuring multiple policies for multiple structures and content coverage, if applicable. Works with customers and account officers to obtain updated customer due diligence account opening information, as needed. Assists department management with training resources to ensure all corporate staff are advised of flood and BSA risk management program policies and procedures. Acts as a liaison between account officer and vendors or consultants. Performs duties related to the preparation and consolidation of department reports and senior management reports. Data may be collected from various systems and sources both internally and externally and may involve correspondence with other departments and/or external vendors.
  • Remains up to date and knowledgeable on all flood related regulations including National Flood Insurance Program compliance requirements and maintains working knowledge of emerging federal, state laws and regulations for our corporate footprint. Maintains an understanding of SBA guidelines related to flood requirements. Remains up to date and knowledgeable on all BSA commercial loan account opening regulations


Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent. Specialty: Does not apply at this level of education. (Required)

Experience

3 or more years Banking, compliance, insurance, or real estate experience. (Required)

This includes but is not limited to, understanding and identifying compliance risks impacting their department(s), ensuring compliance with applicable laws or regulations, and escalating compliance risks to the appropriate level of management.

Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

The hourly rate for this position is $17.75 - $25.48.
