As a national leader in veterinary medicine with a mission to advance the health of animals, people, and the environment, the School has a rich history of educating veterinarians and veterinary scientists, discovering new knowledge through a robust and progressive research enterprise, and setting the standards in animal health care through its clinical programs. With a class size of 155 students, the School offers the highest quality of veterinary education. Reporting directly to the Dean and serving on the senior leadership team, the Associate Dean for Professional Education plays a vital role in managing the DVM curriculum, providing administrative support to students, faculty, and staff for the development and delivery of the curriculum and oversight of the educational facilities and equipment. * The successful candidate will hold a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and have a distinguished record in teaching, creative work, service, and administration to meet the requirements for a Professorial appointment (Professor [I&R], Professor of Clinical ___, or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series) at Associate or Full rank at the University of California in one of the School's academic departments.
