We are looking for a Layout Tool Designer in our Prototype Wood Model Shop (Concept Tooling). The candidate will be setting up CAD files for use by CNC milling machines and 3D printers. Basic Qualifications: High school diploma, GED or equivalent 2 years of CAD experience Layout Tool design using NX, basic skills and abilities include the following 2d drawing and 3d drawing Basic solid creation Basic surfacing Sections and 3 View drafting Plotting and screen dumps Transformation of NX part bodies Basic CAD data/file management Overlay management Thorough understanding of CNC milling processes Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of CAD experience The ability to program and operate the CNC mills to cut tooling to CAD data. Offline Programming (using WorkNC a plus) Part fixture creation (cradle prep.).
