Come join our dynamic team at Cone Health Pediatric Rehabilitation in Burlington! Our multidisciplinary team has two PT's, three OT's and three SLP's. This family centered clinic has fun sensory gyms and fine motor rooms. The caseload offers a variety of diagnoses which include sensory processing, lack of coordination and fine motor skills, developmental delays, autism, self regulation etc. We provide individual 45- minute sessions. Occupational Therapists evaluate children and develop a plan to help children acquire skills needed to perform activities of daily living. Excellent communication skills with inter-disciplinary teams, advocating for children and their teams and treating familiar patients with confidence are crucial. The Occupational Therapist II evaluates patient?s conditions, plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs that facilitates return to optimal functional abilities, improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease or prevent deformity of patients suffering from disease or injury, including patient and family education. This position is able to effectively and efficiently treat all patients in their clinical practice setting and complete all occupational therapy job functions with minimal guidance. This therapist initiates communication amongst inter-disciplinary team members, treats familiar patients with confidence, and advocates for their patients and team. This role requires independent practice in the primary setting, may require mentoring/guidance in complex situations and may have difficulty with cross coverage to other settings. Essential Job Function Evaluates and treats all diagnoses and more complex patients. Conducts thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans. Administers therapeutic exercises and other occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and range of motion. Educates patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques to improve recovery outcomes. Collaborates with other in developing and implementing discharge plans and recommendations for continued care and may require some guidance from other team members. Monitors and documents patients' progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions so that treatment plans can be adjusted as needed. Collaborates on teams from different departments to ensure coordinated patient care and holistic treatment outcomes. Assists with orientation and training of new staff, demonstrates an ongoing commitment to improve the performance and skill of co-workers. Performs other duties as assigned. Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy Experience Required: 2 years Licensure/Certification/Listing Required: Licensed by the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Board; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
