Security Officer - Transportation Access Control

As a Security Officer - Transportation Access Control in Cleveland, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a transportation setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to designated transportation facilities, verifying credentials and managing entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or drivers with access-related inquiries and directions according to site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the transportation location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report any unusual circumstances.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and maintenance needs as required by site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including coordinating with law enforcement or emergency personnel as directed.
• Maintain a visible presence at access points to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a welcoming environment for authorized individuals.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
