Position Summary Performs a variety of tasks pertaining to the preparation of food for patients and non-patients. This includes preparation of meat, starches, vegetables, soups, modified diets, ethnic foods and other food as requested on the tally sheet according to standardized recipes and set up and serve hot food on patient tray line. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job 1. Be at work and be on time 2. Follow company and department policies, procedures and directives 3. Interact in a positive and constructive manner 4. Prioritize and multitask 5. Prepare quantity foods for patients, cafeteria, catering, and doctor's dining room, follow cook's preparation methods according to standardized recipes. 6. Set up and serve hot food on patient tray line according to patient tray tickets. 7. Follow HACCP guidelines for all steps of food production, Title 22 and JCAHO 8. regulations for food storage, safety and sanitation. 9. Demonstrates the ability to apply infection control policies/procedures for safe food handling. 10. Demonstrates ability to prepare & cook food for hospital special events. 11. Demonstrates the ability to perform other related duties. 12. Ability to be at work and be on time 13. Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives 14. Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner 15. Ability to prioritize and multitask *Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
