What You'll Do
- Lead plumbing design engineering from conceptual design through construction administration, coordinating with multiple disciplines to meet budget and schedule requirements
- Design comprehensive plumbing systems, including domestic water, hot water, reclaimed and treated water, sanitary and vent, storm drainage, pumping, natural gas, and acid waste systems
- Manage and lead small to medium-scale projects from a plumbing design perspective, ensuring technical quality and constructability
- Develop and apply design standards and documentation using Revit MEP (including custom family creation), AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revizto, and Bluebeam
- Produce P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and 2D/3D design presentations for cross-disciplinary coordination meetings
- Research, propose, and implement innovative and conventional solutions to complex engineering challenges
- Review drawing packages and submittals for technical accuracy, aesthetics, and compliance, while effectively prioritizing work in a dynamic environment
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in the design of plumbing systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry trends and best practices, including experience with load analysis and engineering calculation software
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including IPC, UPC, IBC, IMC, ASPE standards, LEED water efficiency requirements, and NFPA codes
- Proven experience delivering plumbing engineering services from conceptual design through construction administration
- Strong proficiency in 3D BIM design tools, particularly Revit MEP; experience with Revit MEP fabrication and spool drawing production preferred
- Proficient in industry-standard coordination and documentation tools, including Revit MEP Fabrication, AutoCAD, Revizto, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
