Market Development Manager, Alternative Curing Technologies

As the Market Development Manager, Alternative Curing Technologies, you will be responsible for advancing business growth by disseminating information that promotes a favorable view of the organization and its products and services. Activities include. Developing and implementing advertising/promotional campaigns. Conducting market research and identifying and predicting current and future consumer trends. Product management, including P&L activity and advertising R.O.I. (Return on Investment) analysis. Product planning & development. Promotional materials creation and distribution. Responsibilities typically include: Translate and implement the strategy in order to further the sub-function's larger goals through the work of more senior professional staff. Create new, or recommends changes to policies and establish procedures that affect the sub-function.

You will report to the Head of Strategic Marketing, Industrial Coatings.

Responsibilities

  • Newly created role to lead market development for alternative cure technology platforms to increase revenue with existing and new customers.

  • Lead growth initiatives for alternative cure technology platforms, including but not limited to laser-cure and radiation-cure (EB/UV) technologies.

  • Build and manage opportunity pipeline for specific technologies in target market segments in support of the execution of our growth strategies.

  • Collaborate with sales teams to build a sales pipeline and ensure compliance with Secure Launch protocols for successful opportunity execution.

  • Collaborate with internal project leaders and technical team leaders, utilizing assigned technical resources for market development activities.

  • Partner with global and regional key account managers and sales teams to align on value propositions and go-to-market strategies for these technology platforms.

  • Create and deliver applied-cost and sustainability value propositions that quantify total system economics (equipment, process, energy, and material cost) and environmental benefits to support customer conversion to alternative cure technologies

  • Establish credibility as an industry expert and trusted advisor, both internally and externally.

  • Share expertise with Industrial Coatings regional organizations to support future platform expansion.

  • Train Industrial Coatings sales and service teams on the value proposition of alternative cure platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, marketing, or related field.

  • 15+ years of market and/or business development experience within the industrial B2B industry with a proven record of delivering organic growth

  • Established industry reputation in coatings, alternative cure technologies, and specific markets of interest to PPG preferred.

  • Proven ability to value sell complex technical solutions, including applied-cost and sustainability-driven ROI.

  • Experience working in matrixed organizations.

  • Experience working globally with teams and customers, understanding cultural nuances to build trust and rapport with people.

  • Understands the tactical and strategic elements of driving focused business growth within an industrial B2B setting.
