Paid Time Off:

Eligible employees begin accruing PTO on their date of hire. PTO combines vacation and sick leave, starting at 15 days per year for full-time employees. UMC also follows Washington State Sick Leave guidelines, providing one hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked.

Position Description

Starting Salary: $80,000 - $95,000; depending on experience

Location: Lynnwood, WA

Classification: Exempt

Position Overview:

The Inside Sales Representative manages client relationships and provides account leadership for assigned Service Agreement accounts. This role includes delivering high-quality customer service, expanding UMC services within existing accounts, and supporting the Service Indirect department in achieving annual revenue, margin, and safety goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive and responsive service.
  2. Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), including customer retention and profit margin targets.
  3. Prepare formal proposals for repairs recommended by field technicians.
  4. Obtain quotes from vendors and manage the ordering of materials and equipment for approved proposals.
  5. Coordinate with Dispatch to schedule services for approved client proposals.
  6. Provide account leadership to position UMC as the preferred mechanical service provider.
  7. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within assigned accounts.
  8. Track proposal stages and recommended repairs using the CRM system, in collaboration with Account Specialists.
  9. Direct leads to appropriate departments using Service Office and Service Project email threads, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  10. Support additional tasks as assigned.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with Service leadership to support customer satisfaction and resolve issues.
  2. Assist with North Boundary estimating updates and contribute to team training initiatives.
Position Requirements

Required Skills and Abilities:

  1. Commitment to proactive service and client satisfaction.
  2. Basic understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems.
  3. Strong communication skills, including active listening.
  4. Customer-focused with the ability to resolve concerns effectively.
  5. Proficiency in computer applications and adaptability to new software tools.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  2. Minimum of three years of customer service experience required.

Required Licensing and Other Certifications:

  1. Maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  2. Successful completion of a background check.
