*Temporary staff employees are ineligible to receive benefits (leave, health coverage, State service credit, etc.). They are, however, covered by Worker's Compensation provisions.
However, any non-permanent employee hired to work 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (cumulative of all positions, and not designated as variable hour worker), must be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, within 30 days of their eligibility. Any non-permanent employee hired to work less than 30 hours per week (cumulative of all positions, or designated as variable hour worker - i.e. student workers) are measured during designated measurement periods. If they average 30 or more hours per week over a designated measurement period, they will be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, and will be notified of instructions.

This is a student internship and offers flexible working hours.
Pay Rate $17/hr
Minimum Experience/Education
High School Diploma and currently pursuing a degree with a major in Business or business-related discipline.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
Preferred candidates are:

  • Current Business Honor Program students
  • Members of Gamma Iota Sigma student organization

Duties and Responsibilities
Job duties for the RMI/Finance department include:

  • Development and monitoring of all student TA and Travel Reimbursement information
  • Administration of all Charlotte area conferences and experiential learning activities
  • Assists with coordination of the RMI Golf Tournament and the Financial Services Career Fair
  • Assists with fundraising efforts for the RMI program:

    • planning and promoting program events
    • coordinating program travel to national/regional conferences and events
    • other administrative support needs
