POSITION SUMMARY: Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) coordinator are responsible for managing equipment and materials provided by or produced for government contracts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Work scheduled workdays including weekends, and overtime as required.
  • Understand and comply with all PPE requirements at all times, work safely every day and encourage all team members to do the same.
  • Manage, monitor, and track GFP and GFE based on location, type, and usage
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular audits to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure proper use and perform maintenance (PMCS) of government property and equipment according to contract requirements.
  • Comply with government regulations and reporting requirements related to GFP/E.
  • Coordinate with various teams and stakeholders, including government personnel, contractors, and subcontractors, to facilitate the management of government property.
  • Support management of GFP/GFE at contractor locations in coordination with agencies like the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
  • Ensuring understanding of GFP within contract documentation and reflecting it in program documents like the Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Interacting with government contacts to monitor expected deliveries of GFP.
  • Notifying relevant departments (receiving, inspection, property administration) of GFP requiring special handling or documentation.
  • Facilitating delivery of GFP to production facilities.
  • Creating electronic work authorizations and procurement planning requests for spares management.
  • Coordinate pre-delivery preparation and delivery of GFP/GFE through SIR process.
  • Documenting events and issues impacting planned vs. actual hours.
  • Preparing and presenting metrics and status reports on logistics system status at internal and external management reviews.
  • Consolidating and presenting weekly status reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


      SKILL REQUIREMENTS:



      • Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task.
      • Strong computer skills with emphasis on XA and Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
      • Exceptional oral and written communication skills both up and down throughout the facility.
      • Solid analytical, planning, and logistics skills.
      • Proficient in problem analysis and resolution.
      • Effective knowledge and understanding of manufacturing process.
      • Strong team player.


      QUALIFICATIONS:



      • A bachelor's degree and at least two years of relevant experience, or an associate's degree and at least four years of relevant experience.
      • Experience with supply chain or logistics in a military or civilian environment.
      • Experience with control and accountability of property in a government or civilian environment.


        WORK ENVIRONMENT:



        • This position is office based.
        • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes and other mandatory safety equipment.


        PHYSICAL DEMANDS:



        • Sit or Stand as needed
        • Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day
        • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
        • Proper lifting techniques required
