Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. In addition, Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develop and manage the processes and controls that enable business flow.

YOUR IMPACT

The AWM Alternative Private Operations team is seeking a professional to support various business lines underneath the Asset & Wealth Management Division Private side. The role entails collaborating with controllers, fund management, technologists and other operational groups on implementing new businesses and products, position creation, journal entries, invoice and tax payments, custody and cash confirmations, financing facility interest calculations, exception management and risk mitigation across the various desks' investing strategies.

OUR IMPACT

AWM Alternative Private Operations members are subject matter experts within Operations. The teams sit directly with the desk and support multiple asset types, including Corporate Credit, Corporate Equity, Growth Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate Equity and Real Estate Credit.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Partner with the Business and Federation to provide subject matter knowledge in effort to facilitate smooth process and transaction flows
  • Showcase your attention to detail by ensuring all transactions and positions are processed and correctly captured in relevant systems
  • Completing various internal system setups for new transactions
  • Escalating to senior team members when items are at risk of not being completed
  • Participate in process improvements and system enhancements
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in the field of finance, accounting, and/or business management.
  • Have a front-to-back understanding of the fund products (i.e., private markets, alternative investment funds and registered products) and the events associated with it by managing a complex portfolio and be an SME.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with professionals across various levels both internally and externally
  • Aptitude for dealing with complex issues and communicating with various stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines, with activities and targets which may change at short notice
  • A high level of accuracy with the ability to maintain this standard while under pressure from deadlines
  • Risk Management focus
