References blueprint and confers with the Lead person to determine job requirements. MIG welding on aluminum conductors. Gathers necessary materials and performs layout per specifications. Sets up the welding machine and adjusts settings. Operates a welding gun to weld aluminum pieces together. Visually examines welds for adherence to quality standards; rewelds defective joints and does some minor grinding when needed. Operates cutting torch and manual plasma cutter as needed. Applies the weld stencil and notifies the Lead person or Inspector when the product is ready for inspection. Performs ongoing housekeeping duties to keep the work area clear of scrap and debris.
YOU HAVE:
At least 2 years of experience required. At least 2years of welding experience. Welding certification, required. MIG/TIG welding experience Intermediate blueprint reading
Ability to read blueprints beyond a basic level, including orientation and symbols. Experience using hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers), grinders, and millimeter tape measures. Familiarity with suage equipment (pneumatic system for pinching materials). Experience with soldering and working on circuit boards. Comfortable using overhead cranes to move large equipment.

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $16.30 - $30.20 Per Hour
