These solutions combine LSEG's leading content, advanced tools, and collaboration experiences.

Open Directory (OD) is an LSEG and Microsoft Teams collaboration experience that connects experts across wealth management, investment banking, sales & trading (sell-side), buy-side asset management, and related front/middle/back-office roles - spanning equities, fixed income, currencies, and credit.

Our vision is to build a thriving networking community that enables finance professionals to share knowledge, collaborate on industry challenges, and advance their careers. We are seeking a Product Leader for the Americas to drive this vision - someone with deep financial services experience and a passion for community-driven growth. In this role, you will own the regional product strategy for user engagement and growth, leveraging best practices from successful communities globally while tailoring them to the unique dynamics of American markets.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision and Strategy

  • Define and execute the Americas-specific roadmap for community features and growth.
  • Articulate a clear vision for how OD will evolve to serve financial services professionals in Americas Region, incorporating insights on regional trends and cross-industry best practices.

User Engagement and Community Building

  • Design features and programs that resonate with finance professionals.
  • Implement creative engagement strategies such as gamification, interactive content, and exclusive regional events to enhance participation and loyalty.

Growth and Acquisition

  • Own the user growth strategy for Americas, aligned with global product vision.
  • Develop initiatives to onboard professionals across major financial hubs (e.g., New York, Toronto, Chicago) and convert them into engaged members using organic and targeted outreach.

Community Product Design

  • Collaborate with global product teams to develop community-centric features tailored for American users.
  • Ensure seamless integration with existing tools and innovate using regional insights.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to translate community vision into product features and go-to-market plans.
  • Foster partnerships with regional industry associations, influencers, and academic institutions for mutual growth.

Metrics & Analytics

  • Establish KPIs for community health and growth in Americas.
  • Use analytics and feedback to inform product decisions and report on regional success.

  • Business Metrics: Revenue growth through OD opportunities, new business pipelines, strategic partnerships, and market expansion in Americas Region.
  • Community Health: Monthly/Weekly/Daily Active Users, engagement rate per user, retention metrics, and content contribution rates.

Candidate Profile

  • Community/Network Product Insight: Proven experience building active online communities with features like gamification and user-generated content.
  • Data-Driven & User-Centric: Expertise in analyzing product metrics and user feedback to inform improvements.
  • Cross-Industry Perspective: Creative mindset with awareness of engagement trends across industries.
  • Financial Services Expertise: Significant experience in financial services with understanding of front, middle, and back-office functions.
  • Regional Expertise: Deep understanding of American financial services landscape and collaboration platforms.
  • Product Leadership: 5-10+ years in product management, with at least 2-3 years in a senior role.
  • Adaptability and Drive: Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to handle ambiguity, and strong user advocacy.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage diverse audiences across America.

Stakeholder Management

  • Internal: D&A, SAM, Engineering, Compliance, Corporate Affairs & Marketing.
  • External: LSEG Customers, Industry Organizations & Consortiums, Content Creators & Influencers, Event Organizers & Media Outlets, Academic & Research Partners.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $167,000 - $278,300. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match. LSEG's Benefits plan also includes basic life insurance, disability benefits, emergency backup dependent care, adoption assistance commuter assistance etc.
