Description

InterMetro Industries is seeking an Associate Product Engineer for our R&D Department.

This role provides technical assistance and product design solutions to internal and external customers, supports activities including direct customer contact / support, manufacturing and quality problem resolution. It also supports any and all technical product inquiries.



Primary Responsibilities:



  1. Documents, and maintains engineering data integrity in existing and new standard products to ensure consistent product performance for intended use.
  2. For new products and enhancements, provides design input and technical data to ensure product compliance with regulatory agencies, including UL, NSF and international standards.
  3. Establishes and maintains a technical information data base, accessible to customer service, sales and field reps, that provides verbal and or visual answers to technical product questions.
  4. Provides Custom quotes and design input, as required.
  5. Generates CAD layouts to support possible product configurations confirming product geometry, stability, safety and customer requirements.
  6. Guides work of others who perform essentially the same work. May organize, set priorities, schedule and review work, but has no responsibility to hire, terminate, review performance, or make pay decisions.
  7. Possess knowledge and understanding of the Code of Business Ethics. Contribute to a workplace environment that is conducive to the maintenance of the Code. Remain alert and sensitive to situations that could result in actions by an employee that are illegal, unethical, in violation of the Code or the policies and procedures that support the Code. Report actual or perceived violations of the Code or Company policies and procedures for appropriate action.
  8. Other duties, as assigned.


Qualifications

Knowledge:



  • Associate, vocational, or technical degree
  • One to four years of relevant experience
