This list will be valid for 6 months from the date a candidate accepts the position. There are currently only two (2) openings located at the Weymouth Treatment Facility (La Verne, CA). We are looking for an Operations and Maintenance Technician II - Machinist who is looking to learn and support the operational core of water and power reliability. In this role, you will apply your skills to precisely machine a wide range of metals, alloy, and other materials into parts, equipment components, machinery and specialized tools. To be successful in this role, you will have strong attention to detail, a collaborative work ethic, and the ability to creatively solve machining related challenges. What You'll Do
You'll be working in one of Metropolitan's machine shops, using your mechanical skills and expertise to fabricate, repair, and restore components that keep critical systems operating reliably across multiple facilities.

To view the full job description click here: Operations and Maintenance Technician II - Machinist MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: High school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency and attainment of skills through a recognized machinist trade training program and/or applicable related experience within an industrial environment. Experience and knowledge as demonstrated by practical application of general techniques and practices specific to the inspection, operation, maintenance and repair of machining equipment. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and REGISTRATIONS REQUIREMENTS Expectations of Hours of Service: Employees in this position may be required to work off-shift hours to address operational needs and emergencies as required. May be required to work extended periods away from the normal reporting location.
