Summary:



This position is responsible for tracking and coordinating parts needed for maintenance utilizing the maintenance system and Oracle. Also functions as a receiver.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Fills customer orders from stock
  • Works with procurement to support facility buyer
  • Working with maintenance staff on reconciling work orders with part numbers
  • Assist Planner on assembling and stagging Work Order Parts
  • Reconcile interface between CMMS and Oracle on all parts in stock.
  • Administration and utilization / Receives in Oracle and COGZ
  • Stocks parts on shelves according to indexing system
  • Records and maintains control of all spare parts inventory items purchased
  • Reconciles the inventory with the parts check out sheets / COGZ
  • Receives UPS and distributes packages as necessary
  • Sends out packages as necessary via UPS or USPS
  • Receives incoming parts and supplies into the inventory and distributes them as necessary
  • Secures supplies or parts as needed in the local area
  • Completes weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventories / cycle counting
  • Maintenance all electronic records and ensures accuracy of system.
  • Accounts for new inventory in the system.
  • Ensures compliance with all established internal control procedures
  • Follow company GMP's (Good manufacturing practices) and all other quality programs.
  • Responsible for ensuring work area is clean and organized.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety policies.
  • Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required.
  • Commitment to ensuring that the products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements.
  • Receive bulk chemical into plant storage tank. Follow SOP for this work.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education:


High School Diploma. Additional schooling or technical education a plus



Experience:


Prior experience in maintenance with 2 + years' experience purchasing/receiving/parts in a manufacturing environment. Experience using ERP systems is required; Oracle experience is a plus.



Knowledge and Skills:


Candidate must have strong analytical skills, MS Excel skills, and knowledge of business system. High attention to detail and strong follow-up skills are necessary. A solid working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint software is needed. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally with various internal departments, stakeholders and supplier partners are key requirements. Must have capability to effectively manage information and to communicate effectively with both internally and externally. Must be able to effectively purchase 140+ unique materials.



Travel Requirements:


Very minimal travel may be necessary to various SunOpta locations and for meetings or other job-related functions.



Work Environment/Physical Demands:


Approximately; 85% of work is performed in an office environment. 15% of work may involve being in the agricultural or manufacturing/plant floor environment which is not climate controlled and may contain allergens. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
