OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company is seeking an undergraduate or graduate Landscape Architecture student for a paid summer internship for Summer 2026 at our Charlotte, NC office. Must have graduation date after August 2026 to be eligible.

The summer internship has a commitment of approximately mid-May through mid-August 2026.

We will be accepting resumes for this opportunity through February 2026. Resumes will be reviewed as they are received followed by interviews. Timeframe subject to change.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

The summer internship will provide an undergraduate or graduate student an opportunity to gain technical experience in the field of landscape architecture. The intern will be exposed to a variety of projects for both public and private clients in diverse geographic locations. Project experience will include site planning, detail site design, residential neighborhood design, Government related facilities design, and graphic support of on-going projects.

The position requires collaboration with other disciplines, the ability to interface with clients and contractors, follow schedules and budget commitments, work independently, possess good written and oral communication skills and the ability to problem solve.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have graduation date after August 2026 to be eligible.
  • Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in graduate school.
  • Requires the ability to work 40 hours per week and arrive at the office punctually each day.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without Sponsorship.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, Land F/X, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Modeling and Rendering Software.
