Armstrong World Industries, Inc., has a job opportunity for a Night-shift Distribution Center Supervisor in Marietta, PA. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Distribution Center Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of employees, timely processing of customer shipments, maintaining inventory integrity, ensuring seamless shift-to-shift transitions, maintaining a safe work environment and strict adherence to establish job performance standards, completing work processes within budgetary goals, reducing finished stock damage, and fostering continued process improvement. Hours: 10:00pm - 6:30am, Sunday through Friday, Weekends as needed.

What does a Distribution Center Supervisor do?

  • Gather customer and supplier requirements and adapt shift operation as needed
  • Use the information systems to obtain and analyze data for safety, quality, cost, schedule, etc., relative to meeting requirements
  • Foster team development, including process control, knowledge sharing, performance goals, coaching, managing conflict and conducting performance evaluations regularly
  • Properly manage resources and align operations with Plant goals and objectives

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Comfortable working in an industrial environment
  • Ability to learn other software packages as needed
