These roles provide essential assistance to healthcare professionals in delivering patient care. Ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations by handling tasks that support the diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural aspects of patient care. Allied Health - Health Services professionals work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services.
Encompasses a range of roles focused on providing immediate care and response to medical emergencies, accidents, and life-threatening situations. These jobs are critical in stabilizing patients, providing urgent medical care, and ensuring safe transport to healthcare facilities. Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Spends majority of time in the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision. Opportunities for progression outside this career stream are typically limited without additional education or significant training and experience. Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through training and/or experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care areas. Requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and require vocational or technical education. Works under limited supervision for routine situations. Provides assistance and/or may lead and training to lower-level employees. Problems typically are not routine and require analysis to understand. May lead daily operation activities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Experience: No experience required. Advanced life support experience preferred. Licensure: Virginia Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician - Intermediate or Paramedic required. Paramedic preferred. Valid Driver's License (VADL) and at least 2 years of driving experience required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. ACLS required. PALS and Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) Level II or higher required to operate a vehicle within 90 days of hire. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, climbing (ladder, steps) and driving. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The starting base rate for this role is $20.28 hourly.
