Land Acquisition Analyst (Entry level)

Vaco has partnered with a growing affordable housing real estate developer to hire an Entry-Level Land Acquisition Analyst. This role will support the Development team by identifying, researching, and evaluating land opportunities suitable for affordable and workforce housing projects.

The Analyst will collaborate closely with internal development partners and external brokerage firms to help facilitate land acquisitions and dispositions. This position offers hands-on exposure to multiple facets of real estate development, including site selection, market research, and preliminary due diligence, with strong opportunity for professional growth.

Location: Onsite | Carmel, IN

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and source land opportunities aligned with affordable and workforce housing initiatives

  • Conduct preliminary due diligence and site feasibility analysis

  • Perform market and demographic research to support site selection, including housing demand, population trends, and employment and workforce growth

  • Utilize MLS, GIS tools, parcel data, and public records to evaluate site characteristics and constraints

  • Serve as a point of contact for land brokers and assist with coordination between internal and external stakeholders

  • Prepare clear and concise site summaries and supporting materials for internal review

  • Maintain organized records of site data, correspondence, and due diligence documentation

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; coursework or internship experience in real estate, finance, urban planning, economics, or a related field preferred

  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to communicate professionally with real estate professionals, utility providers, government agencies, and internal legal, finance, and engineering teams

  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn

  • Motivated to grow within a real estate development environment

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
