A respected industrial manufacturing and service organization is seeking a dependable Shipping Clerk to support daily shipping and receiving operations at its Pasadena, Texas facility. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented logistics professional who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and keeping materials moving efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.

Hours & Pay

• Pay Rate: $20-$22 per hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
• Employment Type: Temp to hire
• Location: Onsite in Pasadena, TX

Daily Responsibilities

• Verify and maintain records for incoming and outgoing shipments
• Compare shipment information against bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders, and other records
• Count, weigh, and measure materials to ensure accuracy
• Post incoming shipment data into the ERP system (SAP) and job tracking spreadsheets
• Distribute materials to appropriate areas throughout the shop
• Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, preparing bills of lading, and coordinating carrier pickups
• Maintain clean, organized shipping and receiving areas
• Keep the shipping and receiving workstation stocked and ready for daily operations
• Ensure inventory materials are properly categorized, stored, and orderly
• Maintain clean and organized traffic areas inside and outside the shipping and receiving space

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Basic computer skills, including ERP systems and Excel
• Ability to work in an industrial shop environment
• Comfort working around forklifts and material handling equipment
• Willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

Work Environment

This position is based in an industrial shop setting. Forklift operations are part of the environment, and proper personal protective equipment is required at all times while in shop areas.
