Consumers Credit Union is seeking a Manager of Security Operations & Engineering to lead our cybersecurity function and help protect our people, systems, and members. This role blends technical leadership, hands-on security expertise, and people management-perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, risk, and teamwork.

Responsibilities include:



  • Lead day-to-day cybersecurity operations, including threat monitoring, incident response, and SOC coordination
  • Manage and optimize security platforms across both cloud and on-prem environments
  • Oversee vulnerability scanning, patch tracking, and remediation in collaboration with infrastructure and enterprise systems teams
  • Direct application security initiatives, including:


    • SAST/DAST tool integration
    • WAF tuning
    • SaaS and API risk evaluation
    • Partnering with development teams on secure coding and design


  • Manage physical security technologies such as badge access systems and video surveillance
  • Mentor, coach, and manage a team of security engineers and analysts across infrastructure, security operations, and application security
  • Align security engineering and operational processes with internal policies, compliance requirements, and organizational risk objectives
  • Plan team workloads, support onboarding, guide career development, and create an engaging, collaborative team environment


This role evolves as threats and technologies change-flexibility and curiosity are key.

What You Bring:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in information systems with security responsibilities
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • CISSP and/ or CISM certifications- Preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and collaborate with others across the organization
  • We're looking for a leader who balances technical depth with strong communication and people skills

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is $103,391 to $165,428. This role is eligible for an annual bonus opportunity. A specific salary offer considers factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

You will be eligible to participate in the 401(k) savings plan at any time. You will be automatically enrolled in the pension plan following six months of employment and 1,000 hours of service and reaching age 20.
