Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Jersey City, NJ, Kennesaw, GA, and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java applications at the company Collaborate with teams in other departments to identify and prioritize requirements Develop best practices for the company and participate in code reviews with the team and other stakeholders Conduct technical analysis to arrive at solutions and create technological artefacts in response to production issues Requirements: 10+ years of demonstrable experience in Python development Strong knowledge of Python languages and web API development frameworks like Spring, rest APIs, and RESTEASY Working knowledge of database technologies (Redis and Oracle) Linux OS and Windows Demonstrable expertise in various technical areas, including programming, network administration, and software installation and configuration Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with organizational capabilities Experience with IT project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum Familiarity with AI technologies Understand Model development with Generative AI such as GPT, Llamaindex, langchain, etc. Desired skills: Bachelor's or Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field Relevant certifications such as Java Certified Professional (OCP) Nvidia Triton servers for LLMs Knowledge of container or cloud computing technologies (Red Hat OpenShift container platform, Azure) Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (Agile or Scrum) Experience with CI/CD DevOps practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, and Docker) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with good teamwork capabilities OpenShift container experience Additional Java Understanding in developing web applications using front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) Vector database Microsoft copilot, AI foundry, copilot studio and Azure RAG and LLMs Pay Range: $55.06-$63.06 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
