The Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides advanced technical expertise in complex multimedia broadcast, video distribution, and IT environments. This role is responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, security, and administration of IT, multimedia, and application/software systems. The SME serves as a technical authority, supporting system lifecycle activities and ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • In a complex multimedia broadcast, video distribution and, IT setting: Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, installs, configures, operates, patches, secures, maintains, and administers IT, multimedia, application or software systems.
  • Responsible for: Design, analysis, development, installation, maintenance, and administration of complex multimedia devices and systems.
  • Provides analysis, design, development, installation, configuration, operation, maintenance and administration of IT hardware and software components and systems.
  • Proficient technical knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within IT and Multimedia domains.
  • Participate in technical test reviews and analysis of developed and implemented systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS)
  • At least 20 years of progressively responsible experience supporting complex IT and multimedia systems in broadcast, video distribution, or enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in system analysis, design, development, installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in multimedia broadcast or video distribution environments.
  • Familiarity with system security, patching, and hardening practices.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or high-availability systems.

Additional Information

  • May require after-hours support or on-call availability as needed.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
