Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Regional Medical Affairs Director for the Americas will lead the medical team across Canada, the US, and Latin America, while serving as a member of the Americas Senior Leadership Team.

  • The role involves overseeing the budget, managing a multicultural team of physicians and nurses, and guiding regional medical strategies aligned with global objectives.

  • The director will act as the medical expert in the region, ensuring ethical promotion and advancements in patient-centered healthcare.

  • They will provide scientific insights to internal teams, develop educational programs for healthcare professionals, and ensure the accuracy and compliance of promotional materials.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, KOLs, and medical societies will be key to supporting business needs and internal strategies.

  • The director will also train internal teams on clinical data and collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, commercial, and regulatory departments.

  • They will be responsible for managing medical inquiries, adverse event reporting, and pharmacovigilance compliance, as well as identifying local data gaps and collaborating with HEOR and market access teams to generate evidence for value demonstration.

  • This position requires a strategic leader with strong medical expertise and collaboration skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Medicine, Biomedical Sciences or related field and a Doctor of Medicine degree plus 5 years of related experience

  • Required skills:

    • (1) 5 years in nephrology clinical experience with peritoneal dialysis patients and acute kidney injury care;

    • (2) Experience/knowledge managing/interaction within North America (Canada and the US) and Latin America's South and North Nephrology Healthcare markets: Knowledge of local epidemiology and dialysis penetration. Know-how responding to inquiries (around 5000 per year in the US). Know-how on MSL duties management and execution of metrics/KPIs program;

    • (3) Author at least 5 internationally published peer reviewed scientific articles;

    • (4) Design, execute and assess impact and educational objectives of 5 nephrology educational programs for healthcare professionals.

    • (5) certificate of specialty in nephrology from a recognized national medical body/professional association

  • Up to 30% domestic and international travel required. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Must live near a major airport.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $200,000 - $300,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
