Responsibilities

Prepares and processes purchase orders for medications and other products. Monitors, standardizes and maintains inventory for products used within Pharmacy Department. Performs product evaluations, controls costs, and par levels. Maintains communications with appropriate personnel regarding status of items on back order. Maintains expertise in material management software, industry trends, and regulatory requirements. Anticipates specialty needs and ensures availability of supplies. Ensures medications and supplies are available for the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.



Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. At least 2 years of pharmacy purchasing and inventory management experience.

2. High school diploma or equivalent required.

3. Undergraduate degree in Inventory/Supply Chain Management preferred.

4. Graduate of ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program preferred

5. Working knowledge of computers and basic computer programs including Excel and Word.
