Job Summary
#CA-DS This position will serve as a liaison between Finance, Revenue Integrity, IT, and Pharmacy departments to implement and standardize compliant and optimized maintenance and audit functions of pharmacy revenue and business processes. The Financial Integrity and Business Specialist is also responsible for completing financial analyses of any proposed changes to determine charge and revenue implications related to the pharmacy charge description master maintenance; communicating findings to management and overseeing the implementation of approved recommendations to ensure appropriate revenue capture. Position is responsible for interpreting complex data to identify and or isolate and resolve problems including all rejected charges. Accountable for accurate reporting, monitoring and posting of pharmacy revenue received from various payers. The business specialist will serve as a key member of the pharmacy business service team and has comprehensive knowledge of all pharmacy purchasing, billing, and financial practices. Operating within a highly regulated environment, the Pharmacy Financial Services 3 position serves as a resource to all levels of personnel in support of financial and business planning matters. - California Pharmacy Technician License
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- Demonstrated 4+ years of experience in pharmacy operations and/or billing practice
- Experience in summarizing, analyzing and accurately reporting on large volumes of data using multiple systems in a timely manner.
- Ability to analyze information from EPIC Rx and, in simple terminology, present information to internal staff, external departments and all managers. Ability to update various FMOO data tables and EPIC Rx files as they relate to pharmacy billing rules.
- Demonstrated professional level of analytical, statistical and mathematical skills to conduct complex financial analyses
- Proven ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities and produce quality work while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of PC office tools - Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, Access, or similar software - to problem solving and report production.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work, clearly communicating status to stakeholders and achieving deadlines.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including formatting, Vlookups, IFs, Sumifs, and Pivot Tables
- Highly detailed and accurate with the ability to investigate transactions through multiple financial systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills, including experience preparing materials for a non-financial audience and clearly and effectively communicating information to all staffing levels
- Proven ability to develop executive summaries, as well as detailed financial and statistical reports, including ability to present findings in a professions and clear manner to senior leadership.
