Position summary:

Manage and maintain the maintenance program for the industrial motorized truck fleet in all of the Troup County

Facilities to include gas and electric lift trucks, industrial motorized lifting and moving equipment, and the maintenance

department company vehicles.

Educational requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

Successful completion of Lift Truck training courses in Transmissions, Hydraulics and Electrical Systems preferred

Prefer 2 year Technical Degree

Skills and experience:

  • Equipment Maintenance-5 years experience preferred performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.

  • 5 years experience preferred determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.

  • Trouble shooting- Strong analytical skills.

  • Judgment and decision making- appropriate one

  • Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most

  • Good communication skills, verbal and written

  • Must possess valid driver's license

  • Ability to self-manage and exercise independent judgement

  • Ability to meet license requirements for Powered Industrial Trucks (lift truck, scissor lift and JLG Training)

  • Ability to navigate through computer applications using specific software to diagnose, install and program lifts .

  • Also, haveknowledge of using lift truck software to monitor and track lift use by tracking hours, safe operation, maintenance and create charts to correspond all variables.

  • Knowledge about GE SCR panels (operation, troubleshooting, testing)

Essential duties:

  • Repair and Maintaining Lift Truck Fleet

  • Adjust or set mechanical and electrical controls or components

  • Align or adjust clearances of vehicle body parts or components

  • Align vehicle frame

  • Assemble, dismantle or reassemble equipment or machinery

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronics on Powered Industrial Equipment

  • Conduct tests to locate mechanical and electrical system malfunction

  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning vehicle systems including computer diagnostics when necessary

  • Printed Copies are Uncontrolled. Controlled documents are managed within DocuQuest Uncontrolled Document,

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems in machinery or equipment

  • Inspect vehicle for damage, malfunctions and/or maintenance needed

  • Lubricate machinery, equipment or parts

  • Overhaul vehicle major operating units such as engines, transmissions, motors and electrical components

  • Service vehicle with water, fuel or oil

  • Inspect equipment, structure or material to identify the cause of error, defect or other problems

  • Observing, receiving and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources such as read blueprints, read

  • schematics, read technical drawings, read vehicle manufacturer's specifications, read work order, instructions, formulas

  • or processing charts

  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers and/or subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail or in person.

  • Cutting skills using plasma and/or oxy acetylene

  • Machinist skills using lathe/milling machine

  • Welding fabrication experience with MIG/Arc required

  • TIG/aluminum/stainless preferred

  • Drive company truck to various Interface locations as well as to supply companies

  • Be aware of departmental Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and LOTO procedures

  • Maintain housekeeping

  • Comply with safety rules and environmental regulations to include lock out/ tag out procedure.

  • Ensure ISO procedures are followed.

  • Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • While performing any overhead work or task that creates metal shavings/foreign debris you must take all necessary

  • precautions to prevent material from getting in the carpet

Physical demands:

Lifting of up to 75 lbs.
