Job Overview
The Task Order Manager is responsible for the overall contract development and maintaining positive working relationships with government officials regarding main contract and various delivery orders. The Task Order Manager is also responsible for working directly with Project Manager to successfully complete projects. Work Model: Hybrid
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Plan division of work, assigns work to crews and checks completion of jobs for compliance with special instructions and good trade practices. Plans and develops recurring work list for current fiscal year to include estimates of requirements for labor, material, special equipment, and vehicles.
- Take any BTO order from start to completion, including working with the Government on scope development, finding vendors, working procurement documents, providing oversight, quality control, estimating, maintaining tracking logs, and quoting work.
- Acts as a liaison between government officials and subcontractors when necessary.
- Conducts a safety program. Keeps subordinates and vendors informed on safety rules and safe working practices and maintains surveillance to enforce them. Adapts or modifies work methods to reduce hazards. Reports accidents and injuries.
- Inspects work areas for orderliness and proper removal of waste.
- Maintain current files or directives, technical orders and instructions pertaining to the work of the shop. Responsible for the accuracy of costs, production, and other records reflecting work of the shop. Request materials to insure proper flow of work. Ensures correctness of time and attendance records of subordinates.
- Utilize the present skills of employees to enhance their skills and advance in accordance with their abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to situations that could cause discrimination complaints and take prompt constructive action to eliminate such situations.
- Frequently is exposed to the possibility of scrapes, burns, and infections. Wears and uses protective devices such as safety shoes, face shield, masks for dust, ear plugs, or respirator.
- Medium lifting and moving equipment and tools used in this trade occupation.
- Work is accomplished both inside and outside, and can include providing repair services at installations outside, in bad weather.
- Other duties as assigned to include supporting other functions on the project; i.e. quality inspections and reporting, procurement, record keeping.
- Timely completion and accuracy of all work.
- Working closely and harmoniously with other employees.
- Adherence to contract requirements and CCS, LLC policies.
AUTHORITIES AND LIMITATIONS OF AUTHORITY:
- Submits or makes recommendations on budgets specific to BTO orders.
- Approves purchases of goods, services, and materials required in the performance of statement of work for BTO orders.
- Reviews and approves invoices.
- Other authorities as assigned by the Project Manager.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- Five years' experience in Government contracts, finance, or project planning and management.
- Knowledge of construction and subcontractor relations, Government Contract experience, capable of creating and maintaining paper flow in an organized manner and estimating experience.
- Supervisory skills in planning, organizing, and completion of scheduled work.
- Must have advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, & Outlook.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Be a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state driver's license with excellent driving record.
Preferred:
- 10 years of active project management experience.
- Able to communicate effectively in English & Spanish.
- Procurement experience.
- Federal government experience in a military facility maintenance.
- Five years' experience in Government contracts, finance, or project planning and management.
- Knowledge of construction and subcontractor relations, Government Contract experience, capable of creating and maintaining paper flow in an organized manner and estimating experience.
- Supervisory skills in planning, organizing, and completion of scheduled work.
- Must have advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, & Outlook.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed often outdoors and is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions. Work hours are subject to change, with weekend work or long hours as needed. Subject to hazards that may cause personal bodily harm; diseases, cuts, bruises, burns, common colds, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft-carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces Must be able to work under, in or around buildings, structures, or fixtures, such as ducting systems, attics or crawl spaces. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk for long periods at a time, sit, use of hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, or smell.
