About the team

Worldpay, LLC seeks Global Payments Specialist in Cincinnati, OH to design, develop, and optimize core versions of software applications for commercial sale, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.

What you will be doing

The Global Payments Specialist will implement advanced algorithms and coding methodologies to enhance efficiency and usability. Additionally, the role will:

  • Perform payment processing, specializing in merchant clearing and settlement.
  • Architect solutions for seamless transaction handling, reconciliation, and compliance with financial industry standards.
  • Utilize SFTP and Connect: Direct for encrypted file transfers, ensuring safe data transmission in alignment with security protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage software development and testing life cycles using Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies to drive efficiency in project execution and quality assurance.
  • Engage with engineering groups to drive design improvements in equipment and software.
  • Work closely with product managers and users to refine system requirements and incorporate necessary modifications based on market trends and technological advancements.
  • Leverage IBM mainframes to drive full-cycle development, employing COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, REXX, and PL/I for design, validation, testing, and implementation.
  • Streamline development workflows with DevOps principles, enhancing automation, continuous integration, and deployment efficiency.
  • Perform E2E batch cycle execution, ensuring seamless integration testing and UAT validation, while managing test case preparations, defect logging, and resolution with optimized pipelines.
  • Utilize IBM Cloud technologies to modernize mainframe operations, enhance scalability, and facilitate secure cloud-based integrations for enterprise applications.
  • Oversee multiple point and compliance releases, coordinating release management strategies for successful deployments.
  • Validate post-deployment software artifacts for functionality and compliance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in any field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation:

  • performing clearing and settlement for merchants and optimize workflows for fraud prevention and financial validation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations;
  • utilizing Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies for iterative development, automation, and deployment optimizations to enhance software performance;
  • identifying business opportunities, translate requirements into use cases, and ensure clear documentation for optimal system development and implementation;
  • securing file transfer expertise including SFTP and Connect, directing encrypted data exchange and advanced monitoring tools for post-deployment validation;
  • executing batch cycle integration, UAT validation, defect tracking, and post-deployment monitoring using advanced testing frameworks and release management strategies;
  • providing incident resolution, SLA adherence, and root cause analysis (RCA), coordinating across teams to maintain system reliability and performance.

In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree in the above listed fields and five (5) years of experience in the above listed skills. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policy. When not telecommuting, must report to work site.
