Requisition Summary

The Senior Paralegal will report to the Corporate Secretary and will also support PACCAR's commercial litigation team. The paralegal will work on a wide range of legal matters, including corporate governance, subsidiary management, SEC filings, commercial litigation and regulatory compliance.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Draft Board and shareholder resolutions and minutes of meetings; assist with Board and Committee meetings, including preparing agendas and meeting materials (both physical and electronic)
  • Prepare and file SEC Forms 3, 4 and 5 for directors and executive officers
  • Assist with preparation of annual proxy statement materials and mailing; assist with preparations for Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
  • Organize and maintain corporate and Board and Committee records.
  • Receive and assign file numbers for new claims and litigation, prepare initial letters to external counsel, and complete information in matter management system. *
  • Docket and track litigation deadlines and maintain case records.
  • Assist with litigation discovery requests and responses and respond to third party subpoenas.
  • Tender claims and complaints to customers/suppliers for defense.
  • Process legal invoices and settlement check requests on litigation matters.
  • Compile and submit reports to regulatory agencies
  • Engage with PACCAR executives, managers and employees, as well as outside partners, customers, and vendors.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Law Department and Executive Chairman, as needed.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of legal work experience, with prior experience in corporate law/corporate governance at a law firm or in-house legal department strongly preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and a passion for understanding PACCAR's business and contributing to its strategy and accomplishments.
  • A completed four-year college degree, paralegal certificate and/or relevant work experience.
  • Strong legal drafting skills and very high attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong collaborator.
  • Desire to work with diverse internal groups, teams, divisions, and cultures.
  • Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
